"A Gift of Emptiness was written amidst a personal depression. During a period of 8 very burdensome and dark day's to which I all but fell apart emotionally. I wrote these songs serving as a sublimation of observational dark thought and emotions, I was struggling to compose my self. This was a very real dark place for me and was written in much respect to those who suffer depression, in its array of different forms. This album portrays the inability to consolidate depression and its indescript ways of slipping into our lives. The things it makes us do and perceive that otherwise leave us more lonely. There is a cycle that is capable of perpetuating within this void. I hope these songs offer some solace to those in that place as they did for me".
